GreenSportsBlog Featured On ‘Baseline Exchanges’ Tennis Podcast From UK

0

Andrew Raeburn and Craig Viner of Baseline Media are co-hosts of Baseline Exchanges, one of the top tennis podcasts in the UK. They interviewed me about issues beyond go beyond the baseline, specifically climate change.

Our conversation touched on the climate impacts of tennis, why athletes have — for the most part — stayed away from talking about climate change, as well as two top ranked doubles players who are speaking out on climate, Marcus Daniell of New Zealand and Gaby Dabrowski of Canada.

We also discussed EcoAthletes, the nonprofit I launched last April to “inspire and coach athletes to lead climate action”. Dabrowski and Daniell are the two pro tennis players among our current roster of 34 EcoAthletes Champions. The latter was also interviewed on Baseline Exchanges about his new nonprofit, High Impact Athletes, which helps athletes maximize the effectiveness and impact of their charitable donations. He focuses on three types of donations: animal welfare, extreme poverty, and climate change.
