GreenSportsBlog Founder Interviewed On BBC World Service Radio

0

The BBC World Service’s decision to interview me about EcoAthletes, the greenness (or lack thereof) of the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, and more, demonstrates that the newsworthiness of Green-Sports is on the rise.

Shabnam Younus-Jewell, the host of BBC World Service radio’s Sportshour program, was able to pack a lot of Green-Sports content in her 5 minute 30 second interview with me. Our chat, which starts at the 11:57 minute mark, covered:

  • EcoAthletes, the nonprofit I launched last April, and its mission to ‘inspire and coach athletes to lead climate action’
  • What sports can do to impact climate change and spark a #ClimateComeback
  • Whether the Tokyo Olympics will be the ‘greenest ever’

Thanks to Shabnam and the BBC World Service for exploring the impact sports can have on the climate fight. I look forward to hearing and watching more such stories in the not too distant future.
